The City Council opens registration for the 9th edition of the "Walls of Hell" Swimming Crossing.

The swimming race will take place on November 1st, starting at 9:30 a.m.

The Santiago del Teide City Council has opened registration today, Monday, October 6th, to participate in the 9th edition of the "Walls of Hell" Swimming Crossing, which will take place on November 1st, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Los Guíos Beach in the Los Gigantes Cliffs.

As in previous editions, there will be two distances: a short distance of 1.5 km, which will follow a circular route around Los Guíos Beach, and a long distance of 6.5 km, starting at Masca Beach and finishing at Los Guíos Beach. For the short distance, there will be

a maximum of 200 participants, while for the long distance, the

maximum number of participants cannot exceed 200. The maximum time to complete the different modalities will be 3 hours for the

6.5 km distance and 1 hour for the 1.5 km distance.

An important aspect to keep in mind for the 6.5 km distance is that you will need to prove at least one crossing completed in 2023 or 2024, with a minimum distance of 2,000 meters to participate in the 6.5 km race.

General registration will cost €30 for the 6.5 km race and €20 for the 1.5 km race, while those registered in the municipality of Santiago del Teide will receive a 50% discount on both races.
