Abián Dévora and María Expósito absolute winners of the XXVI edition of the Swimming Crossing of Santiago del Teide

The local winners were Juan Alonso Aladro in the men's category and Raquel Jiménez León in the women's category

Abián Dévora and María Expósito were the absolute winners in the male and female categories of the XXVI edition of the Santiago del Teide Swimming Journey that took place last Saturday over an approximate distance of 950 meters between La Arena beach and Port of Santiago.

In the men's category, the podium was as follows: Abian Dévora Lorenzo entered first with a time of 17:18, second place was occupied by local swimmer Juan Alonso Aladro with 17:44 while third place went to Orlando Delgado Rodríguez with 17:48.

 

In the female category, María Expósito Afonso finished in first place with a time of 17:31. After her, Victoria Sánchez entered with 21:52 and Elena Borges finished in third place with 22:16.

Regarding local participation, the prizes went to Juan Alonso Aladro in the male category with a time of 17:44, second place went to Gustavo Hitti with 21:58 and third place was Jonay Rivero with a time of 22: 00 minutes.

Regarding the local women's category, the result was as follows: Raquel Jiménez finished in first place with a time of 26:30, Ana Belén González finished in second place with 26:49 and Belén Socas entered third with a time of 27 :19.

Other no less important categories also entered the fray, such as functional diversity, in which Marcos Cordobes won in the male category with a time of 29:04 and Sandra Fajardo won in the female category with a time of 35:10, as well as minor categories. For children between the ages of 9 and 14.

Mayor Emilio Navarro was present at the awards ceremony, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Juan Carlos González, and the Councilor for the Interior, Noelia Beatriz González.
