The city council launches the Social Employment Plan 2023-2024
26 unemployed people in the municipality have started working during the next 6 months
The City Council of Santiago del Teide has launched the Social Employment Program (PES) 2023-2024 called "Santiago del Teide for the Promotion of Employment", through which 26 unemployed people in the municipality have begun to work and provide public service to improve the services offered by the consistory during the next 6 months.
At the presentation of the same were present different members of the government group who welcomed the new workers and explained to them the first details of their incorporation.
This project is funded by the City Council of Santiago del Teide, the Canary Islands Employment Service through the PIEC FUNDS and the Government of the Canary Islands, and its participants will be distributed in the different municipal areas such as administration, works and services, culture, social services, etc.
The professional categories of the 26 people are the following: 1 foreman, 3 agricultural pawns, 3 gardening pawns, 2 masons, 7 construction pawns, 1 electrician, 1 free time monitor, 1 playroom, 5 administrators and 2 home helpers.
Within the policies that are developed in the local administration, this new agreement aims to give opportunity to labour insertion, especially to the long-term unemployed, thus promoting the work opportunities of the inhabitants of the municipality.
