The Lions Club of Santiago del Teide donates three amphibious chairs and two adapted sun loungers
The Lions Club of Santiago del Teide recently donated to the City Council of Santiago del Teide three amphibious chairs and two chairs adapted so that users of the municipal beaches, specifically, those of La Arena beach and those of Los Guíos beach in Los Gigantes can use them from this moment on.
In this sense, the local consistory has made available to the concessionaire of the municipal beaches the three chairs and the adapted sun loungers donated.
Amphibious chairs favour bathing for people with reduced mobility, with different pathologies or who are in a situation of disability since they allow their immersion in the water easily. On the other hand, the adapted loungers allow easy transit from the wheelchairs to those loungers.
The award ceremony was attended by Mayor Emilio Navarro, the Councillor for Tourism, Luz Goretti Gorrín, different members of the Lions Club and representatives of the concessionaire of the municipal beaches.
