Santiago del Teide, an example of tourist loyalty in the Canary Islands

Coinciding with the celebration of World Tourism Day, 4 couples were honoured who have in some cases been hosting in establishments in the municipality for more than 30 years

Coinciding with the World Tourism Day that was celebrated this Wednesday, September 27, the City Council of Santiago del Teide in collaboration with the hotels Barceló Santiago, Landmar Playa de La Arena, Landmar Costa Los Gigantes and Tui Blue Los Gigantes made a beautiful and emotional tribute to 4 marriages as examples of tourist loyalty in our municipality.

In this sense, the honourees were: the couple Bruno Thüring and Silvia Dzonsko who have been staying at the Barceló Santiago Hotel for 32 years, the couple Anthony Pike and Anna Pike, who every year stay at the Hotel Landmar Playa de La Arena, the couple Jorge Antonio Martínez Díaz and Lorena María Barciela Garea who have been faithful to the Landmar Costa Los Gigantes hotel for many years as well as the couple Denys Brown and Sheila Brown who have been visiting our municipality for years and staying at the Hotel Tui Bleu Los Gigantes.

The tribute was held in the 4 tourist establishments and was attended by the Councillor for Tourism, Luz Goretti Gorrín along with the directors of the aforementioned hotels and their staff.

From municipal sources it is pointed out that Santiago del Teide is an example of tourist loyalty throughout the Canary Islands since it is very difficult to find anywhere on our islands people like Mr. Thüring who has been visiting and staying in a hotel in Santiago del Teide for more than 30 years.
