The City Council opens the call for subsidies for housing rehabilitation within the framework of the island program 2022

They can be requested until next April 20

The Santiago del Teide City Council has opened until April 20 the call for subsidies to families that do not have sufficient financial resources to finance rehabilitation works in homes, which constituting their habitual residence, are not in minimum conditions of habitability or works aimed at legalizing housing, charged to the Insular Housing Rehabilitation Program.

Individuals who meet each and every one of the following requirements may be beneficiaries of this call for subsidies:

a) Be of legal age or be legally emancipated, or failing that, have initiated the legal process of emancipation.

b) Be registered and reside effectively in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, six months before the date of approval of the Insular Housing Rehabilitation Program.

c) Hold ownership/co-ownership of the dwelling in which the rehabilitation works are to be carried out, have the right of usufruct or right of use over it.

d) That the dwelling object of rehabilitation constitutes the habitual and permanent residence of the applicant and his family entity.

e) That the applicant and none of the members of the family unit own another home.

f) Do not exceed the income of the family unit in the terms that appear in article 9 of the Regulatory Bases.

WORKS TO REHABILITATE

The following works are considered rehabilitation actions in homes, as long as they are considered as minor work according to current regulations:

- Works to improve universal accessibility and remove architectural barriers.

- The necessary works to adapt the dwellings to the minimum habitability conditions.

- Renovation or replacement works to improve sanitation conditions in homes.

- Works that guarantee the safety of the home, such as the reinforcement or partial replacement of structural elements.

- Works or reforms that allow adaptation to current regulations on water, gas, electricity, fire protection, etc.

- The reform or replacement of obsolete or non-existent plumbing, sanitation, electricity or gas installations.

- Improvements for universal accessibility and removal of architectural barriers. -The repair of roofs and facades in order to eliminate humidity.
