Tenerife becomes the gastronomic capital of Spain with the first in-person final of The MasterChef Challenge.
● Santiago del Teide will host three days of competition, showcookings, gastronomic experiences, and activities open to the public from June 26th to 28th. ● More than 90 contestants and content creators with over 27 million followers will participate in one of the biggest gastronomic and entertainment events of the year in the Canary Islands.
Tenerife, June 2026 - Tenerife will be the setting, from June 26th to 28th, for the first in-person final of The MasterChef Challenge, a unique experience that will transform Santiago del Teide into the national epicenter of gastronomy, entertainment, and digital content creation.
Over three days, 90 participants will compete alongside some of the country's top influencers in a unique event that will combine gastronomy, leisure, local culture, and experiences for all ages. The participating profiles boast over 27 million followers on social media, making Tenerife the center of attention for thousands of fans, both online and in person.
One of the main attractions of this edition will be the participation of prominent content creators, entertainment personalities, and culinary experts who will serve as Team Leaders for the competition.
Among them are Raquel Meroño and her daughter Martina, Nagore Robles, Rubén Garcia, Estefania de Andrés, Luzu, Chefenials, and Daniel del Toro, who will accompany and advise the participants during the challenges.
The program also features, among others, comedian, actor, and presenter Alex O’Dogherty, who will serve as the official commentator for the event.
The event is part of the second edition of The Masterchef Challenge, a participatory project that is part of the world's most important culinary talent show. After bringing together more than 8,000 participants and generating over 150 million cumulative impressions in its first edition, the project continued its expansion with new local initiatives that boost tourism promotion, stimulate the economy, and showcase local culture.
This initiative, organized by the Tenerife Island Council through its Department of Commerce and Business Support, and in collaboration with the Santiago del Teide City Council, will once again transform the island into the stage where participants and content creators will experience three unforgettable days. The project, strongly championed by Lope Afonso, Krysten Martín, and Emilio Navarro Castanedo, also enjoys the support of various entities, institutions, and companies committed to a proposal that continues to highlight talent, gastronomy, and the region.
This edition is supported by INTERPORC as the main sponsor, which will participate with its renowned Spanish Bocata and ham carving demonstrations. Dialprix Canarias, Galletas Gullón, Cosori, Avomix, and Harinas P.A.N. are also collaborating. Binter is participating as the official logistics provider, facilitating the travel of contestants, guests, and content creators to Tenerife.
