The city council convenes the XXXVII edition of the Painting and Photography Contest "Rincones de Santiago 2023"

 

The works can be delivered until 11:59 p.m. on July 23

 

The City Council of the Historic Town of Santiago del Teide announces that until 11:59 p.m. on July 23, the deadline for submitting the works for the "XXXVII edition of the Photography and Painting Contest Rincones de Santiago 2023" is open, which can be attended by all those people over 18 years of age of Spanish nationality.

 

The topic should be about the "Rincones de Santiago", understood as a representative sample of corners, picturesque landscapes, ethnography, etc., of the municipality of Santiago del Teide. The works will be original and unpublished and may not have been previously presented in another contest or photographic contest, with the sole responsibility of the participant, as well as any claim on copyright.

 

Regarding the deadline for the delivery of works, this will be until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 23, while the jury's judgement will be made on July 24 and the reading of it will take place on July 25 coinciding with the celebration of the Patron Saints of Santiago del Teide.

 

For the "Painting" modality, the technique will be free and the work will have a minimum format of 50 cm high x 65 cm wide, emphasising that the prizes are as follows:

 

FIRST PRIZE........................... 759.49 euros

 

SECOND PRIZE........................ 300.00 euros

 

THIRD PRIZE........................... 150.00 euros

 

As for the "Photography" mode, the works will have a minimum resolution of 4mpixel, and will present a minimum format of 40 cm high x 60cm wide and with a resolution of 300PPP. They can be in colour or black and white, natural or manipulated.

 

FIRST PRIZE............................ 300.00 euros

 

SECOND PRIZE......................... 200.00 euros

 

THIRD PRIZE............................ 150.00 euros

 

Likewise, a maximum of two works may be presented, of a single modality or combination of both by each author, being presented as follows:

 

• Registration will be made exclusively through the mundoarti.com website.

 

• Complete the personal data (plica).

 

• Attach an image(s) of the work(s) in JPG format with a weight of up to 6MB indicating in "Description" the place where the photograph has been taken or the place that has inspired the painting, which must be within the municipality of Santiago del Teide.

 

Finally, it should be noted that the jury will be chaired by the Councillor for Culture of the City of Santiago del Teide and will have as members related and qualified people in pictorial art and photography; although a technician from the Department of Culture will act as secretary of the jury.
