The City Council urges the Government of the Canary Islands to open a file with Endesa after the electrical breakdown that has affected more than 800 neighbours of Tamaimo during the heat wave
The request requires the electricity company to assume the responsibilities of the breakdown and respond to what happened so that it does not happen again in the future
The mayor of the City Council of the Historic Town of Santiago del Teide, Emilio Navarro, has reported that a request has been issued from the consistory urging the Government of the Canary Islands to open a file to the Endesa electricity company after the numerous power ousts that have affected more than 800 residents of the town of Tamaimo during the last days and whose consequences have been aggravated due to
Likewise, it should be mentioned that in this request it has been demanded that the responsibilities of what happened be assumed by the aforementioned electricity company and that a definitive solution be given to the breakdowns and supply cuts that have been affecting that town in recent days, with the innumerable negative consequences that such supply cuts have caused on the well-being of the neighbours during the heat wave.
According to the mayor, Emilio Navarro, "from the City Council we have managed this request and we will do everything possible so that the episodes of intermittent power cut that the town of Tamaimo has been suffering during these last days are not allowed again, undoubtedly an unsustainable and unfair situation that, with the aggravating of the maximum temperatures that we have been suffering, has affected the health and
