Santiago del Teide presents the commemorative events of the 114th anniversary of the eruption of the Chinyero volcano
From November 14 to 19, you will be able to enjoy different events and activities linked to that eruption that occurred in 1909
The City Council of Santiago del Teide has presented the program of events of the event "'Chinyero-114', through which it is intended to commemorate the eruption of the aforementioned volcano - which this year turns 114 years old - with a detailed program of activities that will be carried out from Tuesday, November 14 to Sunday, November 19.
This programming will begin this Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 with the talks of the educational program "Canary Islands: a volcanic window in the Atlantic" that will take place every day from 7:00 p.m. at the Tamaimo Social Centre.
On Friday, November 17, starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Chinyero Visitor Centre, the folk group Tigaray will stage the show "Tigaray de Calle". On Saturday, November 18, starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Chinyero Visitor Centre, the Folklore School of Santiago del Teide will stage the music-theatrical show called "Cherfe".
On Sunday, November 19 at 9:00 a.m., VII Route of the Volcanos that will have limited places and registration must be made through the page www.elcardon.com. At 11:00 am, departure from the different towns in rogative of the images of Santa Ana, the Virgen del Pilar and Santo Domingo de Guzmán in the direction of the Calvary of Las Manchas where the Holy Mass and the fraternal lunch will take place.
