The Chica Party begins in Honour of Our Lady of Carmen in Puerto de Santiago 2023

The town of Puerto de Santiago is preparing for the imminent celebration of its Girl Festival in Honour of Our Lady of Carmen 2023, which will be held from Friday, September 1 to Sunday, September 3 of the aforementioned month, with various liturgical events and recreational activities for all ages.
Thus, this celebration will begin on Friday, September 1, in the Plaza Norberto García, where from 06:00H. the rain of flies and flowered bullseye will take place by the Fanfare of Santiago del Teide, highlighting that, from 17:00H., the Great Feast of the Foam will begin with animation, games and fun competitions. Likewise, from 6:00 p.m. the little ones will be able to enjoy a ludopark with inflatable games to enjoy with the family and, from 7:00 p.m., the children's festival "Kantikomba" will take place, in which young and old will laugh, sing and dance to the sound of fun songs with live band.
Regarding Saturday, September 2, the Plaza de Puerto de Santiago will host, from 10:00 a.m., the opening of the chapel at the fishing dock to be able to visit Ntra. Mrs. del Carmen, which will remain open until 21:00H., highlighting that, from 12:30H., the Fiesta de las Tapas y Cañas Puerto de Santiago 2023 will be held, in which you can enjoy an albacora tapa and a cane - for the price of 1 euro - as well as the performances of Arturo Castillo, Maikel Jiménez and Nueva Ilusión.
It will not be until 15:00H. when the arrival will take place, at Playa Chica in Puerto de Santiago, of the participants of the Travesía South West Tenerife Barceló, although from 19:00H. an offering will be made to the Virgen del Carmen by the CN Isora Swim Master. As for 9:00 p.m., attendees will be able to spend an evening in a big way with the "Latinazo, say goodbye to summer!", which will feature the musical performances of La Klave, Gomeray Orchestra, El Morocho and the Latin Brothers, as well as Maikel Jiménez.
If we attend Sunday, September 3, at 10:00H. the Salvas in Honour of the Virgin Girl and the opening of the chapel will take place, highlighting that, from 12:30H., you will be able to enjoy live music by Roberto. As for 1:30 p.m., it will be when the arrival of the walkers of the group of hikers La Cruz will take place to make the offering to our Virgin Girl in the Chapel.
In addition to this, it will be from 7:00 p.m. when the Holy Mass will be held at the Fishing Pier of Puerto de Santiago, officiated by our Parish Priest Don Omar Martín Vargas and sung by Parranderos de Tágara. Next, the procession will begin along the usual route to the Plaza de Puerto de Santiago, accompanied by the Parranderos de Tágara and highlighting that, during the tour, the artist Isabel González will sing to the virgin.
Finally, upon her arrival in the square, a food offering will be held in which the virgin will be received by a poem by Alicia León and the voice of Montse García, as well as by the Parranderos of Tágara.
