The Santiago del Teide City Council announces that the submission period for the 10th "Lyrical Letters of Santiago" Literary Competition is open until 11:59 p.m. on July 5th. The competition includes the categories of short story, poetry, and eulogy, and is open to all adults residing in Spain.
Works must be submitted in Spanish, be original and unpublished, and must not have been previously published in any format, either in whole or in part (including online). The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. on July 5th, and the jury's decision will be announced on July 25th. Winners will be invited to the official awards ceremony, which will coincide with the Feast of St. James the Apostle.
For the "Short Story" category, the work must be between 4 and 6 pages long; while for the "Poetry" category, the work must be between 25 and 200 lines long. Finally, the "Loa" category will have a maximum length of 75 lines and a minimum of 25 lines.
