The festivities in honor of Saint Isidore the Farmer begin in Arguayo.

 

Among the many events, the traditional pilgrimage stands out, taking place this Sunday, May 10th, starting at 1:30 p.m.

 

The town of Arguayo begins its festivities in honor of Saint Isidore the Farmer, with the traditional pilgrimage being a highlight among its many events. This pilgrimage will take place this Sunday, May 10th, starting at 1:30 p.m.

 

The festivities will begin this Friday, May 8th, at 8:00 p.m. with the Grand Gala for the Election of the Pilgrims of Santiago del Teide. On Saturday, May 9th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be bouncy castles. At 4:30 p.m. at the Arguayo Cultural Center, the 19th annual "Mariano Rodríguez Rodríguez" Dessert Contest and the "Decorated Balconies" Contest will take place, featuring a performance by Álvaro Mansito. At 8:00 p.m., the 24th annual Santiago del Teide Magician's Dance will be held, with performances by the following groups: Tayme, Raíces, Araza, Cherfe-Chinyero, Los Dóniz, El Golpito, Chaveña, and Parranda El Mesturao.

 

On Sunday, May 10, starting at 1:30 p.m., a Mass in honor of Saint Isidore will be celebrated by parish priest Víctor Manuel Fernández, with music provided by the AF Imoque choir. Following the Mass, the traditional pilgrimage will take place along the usual route to Las Eras Park in Arguayo, with the participation of various groups and folk ensembles. Afterwards, a grand dance will be held with the orchestras "Guaracha y Arguayo Band.

 

On Monday, May 11th, at 6:00 PM, the image of Saint Isidore will be carried down to the Parish Church of Our Lady of Candelaria, accompanied by the Santa Catalina Fanfare. Afterwards, chorizo ​​sandwiches will be served to all attendees.

 

On Friday, May 15th, the Feast of Saint Isidore the Farmer, starting at 7:30 PM, there will be a grand concert with the group Los Sabandeños. Following the concert, and to conclude the festivities, the group Paraíso will perform.
